COVID-19: NIGERIA IMPOSES TRAVEL BAN

With a rise in the number of confirmed coronavirus infection to eight, Nigeria has placed travel restrictions on travellers from countries with more than 1,000 cases. These are China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, United States, Norway, UK, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Remember - Look after yourself and family

1. Wash you hands with soap and water For 20 seconds; use hand sanitizers if available

2. Avoid handshakes and hugging

3. Avoid large crowds

4. Social distancing to reduce transmission of the virus

5. If feeling unwell with a fever or cough or breathing problems - stay indoors and telephone a health facility near you for further advice

6. Citizens 70 years and above, and people with existing problem such as asthma, diabetes or on cancer treatment should self-isolate
